What is Peroxygen?
A Peroxygen is a chemical containing a peroxide anion or an O-O single bond group, most often found in sanitizing formulations in the hydroperoxide form (-OOH). Peroxides are part of a larger oxides chemical family that also contains superoxide, ozone (O3), and ozone’s UV catalysis product, hydroxide radical anion.
